Mannheimer Wasserturm

The water tower in Mannheim (built 1886-1889), on top Amphitrite, the sea god Poseidon's wife. Both sides of the stairs are guarded by two Shinxes. Better in large.

Thanks to a handful of painkillers and cough medicine the visit to the Reiss-Engelhorn-Museum in Mannheim was a good one. Saw the exhibition about "The Medici" and was almost in trouble because I was carrying my jacket over my arm. That was not allowed. I had to wear it. No photos allowed, of course. The exhibition is in English and German, if you're interested.
The visit was a birthday present from a friend and that was a very good idea. Danke, Petra.

Need to go and pamper my cold and my headache now.
