Measuring up

As part of this moving-out-of-winter-getting-into-spring weekend, it is time to revisit DIY and other tasks. I have a poor DIY record. I need the practice. Experience has told me - and I'm pleased to have the opportunity to pass this on - that measuring is important.

Experience has also told me that distances sometimes change after the start and before the end of some tasks. There seems to be a DIY Theory of Relativity waiting to be discovered.
