Weedon Bec

Today we visited this historic collection of buildings constructed in the early 1800s as a secure location to store guns and gunpowder in case of a popular Napoleonic invasion! ( See extra). Over the years the buildings have been used as a prison, a barracks for soldiers and as the Royal Ordnance Depot. Today they house small businesses such as antiques centres, second hand book shops, a brewery and a coffee shop. A very strange but interesting place.
