The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

I was sitting on the patio of a restaurant when the back legs of the chair got caught up in the floor planks and folded inward (under me) causing the entire thing to collapse. I fell directly backwards and struck my head hard. I immediately told the bystanders to call for an ambulance. Sometimes you just know not to move.

After a CT, it was determined that I suffered a pretty bad concussion. My head, back and neck (which snapped backwards) are killing me.  I’m super light and sound sensitive and the ringing in my ears is making me even more dizzy. The ER doctor said it could be up to a month or longer to get past the worst of the concussion. The back and neck will have to be checked out by specialists. The owner didn't even come out to check on me. A little kindness would have been really nice in that moment.

The nice part of the day...I got home just in time to catch this sunset.
