An early walk along the local canal and a colourful sunrise, which has been quite rare in recent days in this area.  The confusion of clouds provided lots of interest combined with their absence on the eastern horizon.  This was about 15 minutes before sunrise.

It was windy, but the slow shutter speed provided some pattern and reflection in the water.  By the time the sun rose there was a rainbow in the distance forewarning of rain.  I just got back to the car before getting wet.  

Apparently, despite denials of the same, the UK Government is currently considering the implementation of Plan B and a reintroduction of face mask wearing and encouragement to work from home, where possible.  Can't help but feel this is appropriate and will help limit the increases in infection rates seen recently, as well as protecting our NHS. I imagine it will be one of the topics of conversation at tomorrow's Health Protection Board meeting I will be attending.
