Diary of an Edinburgher

Visitors!

Today we all walked round to Waitrose to get - wait for it - radishes! Yes, JR had a new dip (from Waitrose Magazine - recipe Extra 2) she was making for nibbles tonight and radishes were essential. The others walked home via the Links, but I got the bus home.

Hazel and Christine came over to christen the new sofas with bubbles, though not literally. Christine hasn’t been to visit for ages, since she acquired wee Dougal in fact. And we can’t pop in on the way by as we always used to, because Archie can’t tolerate Dougal the livewire. However, hopes are pinned on Dougal’s upcoming operation, that he might calm down, and hopefully curb his overtly sexual advances on arms, legs, cushions…

We had a lovely evening, and the pea dip with very thinly sliced radishes on top was a hit. (Extra)

Normally, I have my blip done before an evening do, so I can just finish it, and maybe add in a photo, but I didn’t yesterday. And after the visitors had left, and we tidied up, a box of chocolates that Christine had brought was opened… and we finished it, accidentally.

Archie was hanging around because he could smell MEAT! I gave him a few bits of carrots, but this was NOT what was wanted. Tough.
