Rural scene

Just outside Stirling and, unfortunately for this cow (bull?),  at the back of the livestock mart. I've a feeling I know its fate.

I'd ordered a pair of walking trousers online. They were great in  every respect except leg length. I'm not tall but at 5'4" I'm not tiny. The legs on these trousers were made for someone much taller than I. There's a branch of the shop by the garden centre so I decided to walk out there. It's not a particularly nice walk but it's OK and a good stretch. 14K steps there and back in very mild and sunny weather. Exchanged the breeks and bought a new OS map. Exciting times!

Back home and the outside tidying out which started yesterday must  be completed before the rain comes. It's so good to hear the mellow tones of broadcaster Jim Naughtie on the World at One. Someone who can enunciate. Oh dear I sound such a dinosaur.
