Hamilton Mausoleum
The weather was unexpectedly good today and warm, so I went on a walk to try and find the Mausoleum in Hamilton, the top of which I'd noticed from Chatelherault.
Had a lovely walk along the river and listened to Cory Wong interviewing Michael League about music and actually swore out loud when Michael League said that the most rehearsing Snarky Puppy do before a tour is having a slightly longer sound check at the first gig... Apparently not over-rehearsing is a thing shared by the Metropole Orkest so the musicians aren't too comfortable on the night and need to be really tuned in to what's happening around them. Scary amount of practice and dedication to get to that level. Great podcast though.
Edit: P reminded me of an encounter I had whilst blipping today. When I was getting the camera out of the bag I felt a nudge at my feet. Only to look down and a little sausage dog in a jacket had left her ball at my feet and was looking up at me. I threw the ball in the direction of her owner, who had walked on and just noticed that the doggo wasn't following. She raced to the ball, picked it up and went straight back to me. She was a cutie. Also saw a crow fluffing itself up to cronk on the fence which was also cute.
