Orchid Show

A friend and I enjoyed our morning at the Fall Orchid Show held at Kanapaha Botanical Gardens. We spent some time admiring the orchids on display by the local Orchid Club and then we went outside to peruse the vendors. Because of Covid, the Gardens have not been able to have their Spring or Fall Festivals. It was wonderful to get back into the swing of things! It's a gorgeous day here in North Central Florida and there's a lot going on in G'ville! Many organizations have taken the opportunity to stage events this weekend because the Gators aren't playing football today. 
Oh and, the orchid above is a Paphiopedilum, often called the Venus Slipper. Do take a look at today's *extra...for nine more beauties from the Orchid Show!
