Liverpool Marathon

Eventually got a message from Alison about going to Liverpool to watch John running the marathon. She thought she had sent it last night but she actually hadn't sent it so I got it 10.30am. We actually met up in the street in Liverpool (as we arrived at different train stations) both on our way to meet outside John Lewis. 
John did really well, he completed the marathon in just less than 4 hours. Considering he has a bad knee that is brilliant. He actually felt his hamstring go near the end of the run. 
He and his colleague were running for Alder Hey, the school they both teach in helped fund raise on Friday. Other members of staff ran the other shorter circuits. Altogether the school has raised over £6000, which is brilliant.
The marathon was called the rock and roll marathon. There were bands all round the course. A Beatles tribute were in front of the big wheel and they were brilliant.  A lovely family photo bottom left. 
It was a lovely day nice to go to Liverpool by train something I haven't done for 2 years!!
