The McEwan - Dundee Street

There's so much development happening all over Edinburgh including Fountainbridge and the West End.  Much of it is hotels and student accommodation but the "Moda, McEwan" building on Dundee Street will be 476 flats for rent from November!  Although it doesn't look ready enough for that.  However it all looks rather grand on the website. 

The land in the foreground, on the opposite side of the road, will also be developed for housing although I think that's to buy.  

The area around us has changed so much in the last twenty years when it was the remnants of a light industrial area.  It hardly seems anytime since Scottish and Newcastle Brewery's "Tartan Club" was one of the big social venues.
