Harvest Time

My sister and I walked the trails at Maxwell Hall Equestrian Park today. Somehow, we took a wrong turn and found ourselves on a different trail than we usually use. This put us next to a soy field that was being harvested. We were very close to the combine.
It is supposed to rain quite a bit this evening, so that is probably why the farmer is taking up the soy. It looks like he is a bit early, though, as the plants are not really dried out. If the soy has moisture, the farmer will make less money for the harvest.
On the right side of the photo are the stacks from Chalk Point Generating Station. It is closing this year. It was a coal-fired power plant.
