Tenement close

A typical close (common entrance) in a Glasgow tenement. This one is red sandstone on the Southside of the city.
Beautiful stained glass windows on each of the landings, wrought-iron railings on the stairs, wally tiles on the walls, and storm doors at the entrance to each flat that fit neatly into the recesses when opened. A beautiful building, over 100 years old and so well maintained.
