Retail nightmare

Today we went into Chichester for lunch and a film.   Had a wander round the shops beforehand and came across two more stores that had shut down.   This one is New Look and nearby is or was Next which has also closed.   Was really surprised by this one as Next is one retailer that is doing well.   I can only guess that the price of the lease renewal was more than they were prepared to pay.   Gradually all the surviving big chains seem to be moving to out-of-town retail parks leaving the city centre with far too many empty premises.
