Bus Pass Walk

5 Bus Pass Walkers set off this morning in drizzle, but as we walked along the canal in Bingley it started to dry up.  Passed Dowley Gap Locks and then walked along the riverside spotting Mergansers and a couple of Herons. Carried on into Roberts Park - some lovely reflections in the river.  Then crossed back to the canal where the colours were turning more autumnal so used this for my blip.  Walked to Hirst Locks where 2 of our number ably helped out with opening and closing the locks for a canal boat to pass through.  Refreshments then taken at The Higher Ground cafe - very nice crispy paninis.  We then walked up to the main road to catch 2 buses back home.  Sad to hear of the passing of one of our church stalwarts at a grand old age of 102.  RIP B.
