Dawn from the wharf at Palm Cove

I woke early, so managed to get my first dawn shot for blipfoto. This is dawn breaking through the clouds out to sea, heralding the approach of a tropical cyclone. I love the golden edges to the clouds, and the rays shining out from behind them.
We'd planned a trip to Green Island by ferry for the day, so were a bit worried about the weather. As it turned out, it went away, or fizzled out - whatever weak cyclones do - and the day was quite fine.
What you can't see in the photos is the tropical heat and humidity. Dawn was the only time it was bearable.
