Death of a hard drive.

Two actually. I had two old computers to recycle but I took out the hard drives and decommissioned them. The days of passing your computer, complete with the hard drive, on to someone else are gone. There are so many data recovery programs out there, and free as well, it is better to just remove it and destroy it.

Spoiler Alert: Make sure you back up the data before you do it. It won’t be possible afterwards.
