MonoMonday Challenge 405 - Any Invention

The dome, an invention that dates back to the very early history of man.

As Plate wrote in the Replublic, "our need will be the real creator," which has become the common expression "Necessity is the mother of invention."

Food and shelter.  It all starts from there.

This dome is an umbrella dome inside the Basilica di Santa Maria della Passione.


Included is another photo and the cousin to the dome - the arch. :)
