Keil Cemetery
is situated at the southern end of the Kintyre peninsula (Scotland) and like many others in rural locations has commanding views over the sea. The significance of this area is that St Columba landed here in AD 563 or thereabouts, and began his journeys to encourage conversion to Christianity.
St Columba's Chapel is close by but is so overgrown with ivy that it is a green rectangular enclosure devoid of character.
The land mass in the distance is Northern Ireland.
