Primeiras chuvas

First rains.

The first rains of any significance here in Niassa. It had been getting hella humid so people were relieved that the wind whipped up, the water came down and it diminuiu (lowered) the temperature, with someone even describing it as frio (cold). Steady on, I told him.

In the evening I reposed in the tent and listening to lions roaring in the distance and more insects buzzing. After the rain here I always see more alien critters on the footpath.
