Mind The Gap
I do
I mind the gap between the platform I'm standing still on and the train I'd like to be moving forward on.
I mind the gap between those who have too much and those who don't have enough.
I mind the gap between the ears of those who think that's OK, that's the way it is, and we don't need to bother our comfy selves to help redress the balance.
I accept that there will always be a gap, but I wish that more of us would do more to narrow it.
1980: The year I realised I had made the wrong career choice, took half a gap year, and started again, this time in the right career.
