My new wonderful friend!

A back blip from yesterday when I spent the day with L who I have met in the Theatrical Millinery course. As it was half term, she invited me to her studio in Leigh on Sea, and we played all day! 

She has been doing stage millinery for quite a while, and her mum was a costumier, so we had a wonderful time.

It was lovely to catch up, and see another studio and swap ideas and blocks. Fortunately we are both the same large head size, so it’s perfect! She introduced me to another new material… and I made ‘fake bacon’ for a new potential commission.

Really like Leigh too, as we went out for lunch and saw the sea.
