Corvid pellet

I think this is a regurgitated corvid pellet found on a fence post, perhaps from a jackdaw, crow or magpie. It sums up my day. I spent several hours driving to Oxfordshire to see my father at the care home. Unfortunately he was asleep when I arrived and still asleep when my allotted half hour was up. I walked around the village green and found this pellet, then drove all the way home, getting caught in some awful roadworks that added another hour to the journey.
