Sketch-A-Day 16

My first 'urban sketch'.
Inspired by the wonderful personalities featured in 'The art of Urban Sketching' - I sat in the coffee bar of the American hanger, Duxford Air Museum from 12-3pm. (The length of my stay qualified me for a free cuppa! PERFECT.)

Really difficult to capture the overall scene of a place - realised too late that the hanger windows would have been a perfect grid to plan the initial sketch. (I'll put that down to experience!)

Glad that I stuck it out and completed the sketch, felt nervous about sketching in public but today has broken that. My respect of urban sketchers around the world is even greater now.
