Punky Night

Happy Punky Night everyone! This is an old English festival on which children would carve pumpkins (punkies) and place a light inside, then go house to house singing and begging alms or treats and competing with each other over who had the best pumpkin.

We didn't carve our pumpkin, but we did make a delicious soup out of it!
