Flowers in the rain

Another very wet day, but we got all the waterproofs on in the afternoon and ventured forth to the Botanics. We had the place almost to ourselves, so we enjoyed a wander round and then rewarded ourselves with a hot chocolate and cake in the cafe. All very pleasant, and worth the effort.

I was quite surprised to see some rhododendrons in bloom (rhododendron neriiflorum according to the label).  I think there are some flowering almost all year round in the Botanics.
