I went to the village social club AGM this evening. This was a mistake, because now I'm on the committee. Well, it was not well attended, and I was one of only two people there who weren't already on the committee or married to someone who is. Having just managed to resign from the choir committee ... sigh. Still, this is the problem with a small village, limited pool of volunteers! And it is very convivial.
