Holiday bound

We have been driving all day. Literally ALL DAY on the A1. But it was worth it, because we are now here in the beautiful town of Bamburgh on the Northumberland coast. We are staying for the week in a stunning apartment and highly recommended accommodation, Brada View. I can pass on the details to anyone who would like them. I'm so excited to spend a 100% relaxing week here...and so is Jon! We plan to just take walks between the rain clouds and visit coffee shops when it is too wet to walk!

So our drive from Manda's with Hayden on board, took us from 10.40 to 18.30. We had 2 brief stops - the first to tesco for some provisions, then on the services on the A1 at about 2pm to eat lunch. Then we made it to Morpeth in daylight, where we dropped Hayden off with Bruce where they will be going to a match tomorrow I believe.

From there it was another 50 minutes to Bamburgh. I'm now ready for my bed. It is exhausting enjoying yourself, and this week has been fun but very tiring. Jon did all the driving and is suffering with his back after the walking in London. He relaxed while i cooked us a pizza - not a patch on our usual homemade Friday night special! But did the job.

Now tv, then a long lie in planned for tomorrow.
