Mercury London

I obviously have not used my little Sony camera for some time. Today (29/10/2021) we met up with Daughter 3 and three grandchildren. The weather promised rain and I was nervous of getting my big Canon wet so I took and used the little Sony.
When I downloaded the pictures I found a set I took on the day we went for a ride in a neighbour's steam traction engine. We went from Dunham to Beeston,  the next village, about 3 miles away  and stopped in the pub for a couple before coming back. We then had a BBQ with jacket potatoes cooked in the traction engines fire box during our trip.
The blip is of a steam launch he is also working on. The traction engine was a magnificent piece of engineering but the launch, made of wood, beautifully cut, fitted and polished was a thing of beauty. It has no working engine but I extracted a promise that as soon as it is up and running I will accompany him on one of the local rivers. I anticipate a wait of several years, at least.
