The Natchez Trace Parkway
Still down in Nashville. I brought my cycling shoes and pedals and have commandeered a steed for tomorrow. This photo is of the Natchez Trace Parkway, which runs 435 miles from Nashville, TN to Natchez, Mississippi. It is supposedly legendary cycling.
While, I won't ride the whole thing, I do hope to get on it for a few hours. Driving on it today I saw lots of rolling hills and winding roads. Looks like the perfect cycling shot. Low traffic. Should be fun.
I ran this shot through Lightroom. I usually use Photoshop for masking and selective color corrections, but found Lightroom's auto-masking tool pretty sweet. I used a ND blue filter to make the sky riche and blue. I painted in some green for the trees. And finally worked on the yellow lines. The original shot from my camera was really washed out, considering it was shot in the middle of the day.
