BCSplash - Rising Moon.

It's #BCSplash time again and, as many of us around the world celebrate Hallowe'en this weekend, we thought it would be fun to include this spooky photograph by blipper HilarysView
 
Those who have been following the Community Blog for a while will know this isn't the first time we've shared one of Hilary's incredible images. In fact we used one of her moon photos this time last year!

After enjoying a meal with a friend Hilary mentioned that she had hoped that the moon would light the way back to her car, however there appeared to be too much cloud cover that evening. 

There's a lot of skill required to create a successful photograph of the moon, but sometimes you need a little bit of luck too...

Just as we had finished a delicious veggie curry at a friend’s house I said, “Well I was hoping to walk along your road back to the car in moonlight tonight, but there is too much cloud.”  Lindsey looked out of the window and said, “Get your camera, quickly!” The clouds were dispersing just as the moon rose and, fortunately, I had taken my long lens with me."
