Kruger National Park - Day 9

The Southern Ground Hornbill (Bucorvus leadbeateri) is listed as 'Vulnerable' in the Red Data Book, and is an uncommon to scarce resident of open grassland to bushveld from Se to NE and N parts of the country.

This female has a food item in her beak, and she together with the other 4 adults in the group were trying to entice a youngster down from the tree above and behind our vehicle.
