Goodbye little friend.
Time to go home after our holiday at Rockcliffe on the foreshore of the Solway. This wee Robin has been to see his visitors throughout the week. It was stormy overnight again, but dry when we drove off. We encountered a number of floods during the first 20 miles.
We were home in time to watch Scotland Rugby play Tonga at Murrayfield. A 60-14 victory, 10 tries scored. There were 8 new capped players; they were capped on the pitch in a short presentation in front of friends and family. Great to see, normally this is all done at the post-match dinner; not happening due to Covid19 concerns. Subsequent games in the Autumn Nations Series are against the second and third best teams in world, and Japan who beat us previously. Younger son was meant to be at the game today but is still unwell so watched on TV, as did his brother at his home. We exchanged observations as aye.
