Everyday I Write The Book

By Eyecatching

The boys are back in town

Met up with Strider. Bao buns and gyoza for lunch followed by coffee in The Black Penny. Then walked along the river to Borough Market where I was delighted to find a vegan cheese stall and a trader selling vegan tahini flapjacks  (seriously).

Strider left us to go and see La Traviata at the Royal Opera House. We walked back to Vauxhall for a pot of birthday tea with TSM’s brother. I then headed home on my own to go to my Booker group evening. This took place in the depths of Surrey up twisty lanes and down rabbit holes in the back of beyond. Convivial company and an excellent glass of Negroni, which I think I may add to my list of favoured drinks. Some strong opinions and well intentioned banter. The majority view was that No-One is Talking About This by Patricia Lockwood would prevail. Personally I think it will be The Fortune Men by Nadifa Mohamed. The winner is declared on Wednesday evening.

19,000 steps too. Good day.
