IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN
It's once again that time of year that we all dread – the end of British Summer Time (BST).
This unpopular procedure was introduced as the Summer Time Act in 1916 to help the war effort during World War I, and despite several attempts the act has sadly never been repealed.
When the clocks change for the winter, road deaths rise, and when they change in the spring heart attacks and strokes increase.
Wilson has done his best to help by inventing the MkII WASTE* Clock which always shows the correct time (as long as you remember to change its battery occasionally!) by means of an extra, colour-coded hour hand.
Today is one of only two opportunities per year for him to remind everyone about this alleged 'great boon to mankind' – and he's making the most of it!
Unfortunately his efforts to put it into mass production were beset by difficulties, and I am now the proud owner on the only MkII WASTE clock in existence.
