Brick Frieze

Bit of a strange day. I was planning on taking my dad out but had trouble contacting him. So drove round to his house and he'd been trying to contact me but all his phone connections were dead. Turns out there was a fault on the line.

Anyway, we had coffee and cake and spent a while in our local museum - The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery in Hanley (Stoke-on-Trent).

This is part of a frieze above the entrance depicting scenes from the area's history. This bit shows details from the pottery industry.

Many of my family members throughout the generations have worked in the pottery industry.
