Fisherman's Beach
I went looking for the bioluminescence reported at beaches nearby from a few days ago, knowing all too well it would have moved on by now, but I had to take a look just in case.
This beach is quite uncommon for a Sydney Beach as it is remarkably calm - it even has a boat ramp! It's north of Long Reef Headland and is tucked in behind the ... long (rock) reef that juts out from the aptly named headland. You can just make out in the image a shower and a sink and table top used for cleaning fish.
The lights in the distance are Collaroy and Narrabeen Beaches. Collaroy is the beach where the new protective wall has recently been erected. I'm hoping to take some more pics of the wall for the Blip PRClimate challenge.
Bit of a cold and wind swept beach tonight so, of course, plenty of empty seats.
