Farewell to the B12
After missing it yesterday, today I got to see the B12 on its final day in service before going for major overhaul. As members W and I were entitled to a significant discount on the cost of tickets so for a fiver each we decided to travel to Sheringham and back. The plan was to travel one way behind the B12, walk down to the sea front and have an ice cream, and then get one of the other services back again. Unfortunately, once we started walking down from the station it started pouring with rain so by the time we got to the sea front we were soaking wet and more in need of hot soup than ice cream! Instead, we headed back and travelled back to Holt again behind the B12 and home for lunch.
Good to bump into fellow blipper Bom at Holt before we set off. I think her blip may be similar but mine was taken as we got back again, when a sliver of sunlight poked its way through. I’ve added an extra taken from the footbridge at Sheringham of the B12 running round the train.
