Deep puddles
More of the same weather of yesterday. Torrential first thing, bright and sunny for the rest of the day.
I’m reading the Wild Isles edited by Patrick Barkham which is an anthology his choices of the best of British nature writing. Some superb excepts, including one phrase which I’ve used on a couple of journals today because it struck a chord with me.
I love cloudscapes in all their grandeur and variety and the story they tell about atmospheric conditions. “Clouds are the atmosphere’s facial expression” Reading the story of the clouds been enhanced by this quote. Next time you see clouds, try and read the facial expression and therefore, the mood of the weather!
Ironically, there are no clouds in the blip, only the evidence of their effects this morning.
Barbara and David travelled down from Edinburgh yesterday. Now begins the task of getting Doreen’s house ready to let.
