York and Leeds

We met Matt at Next to buy him a frame for one of his birthday presents and we then went to m&s for a cuppa and a chat before heading for Leeds. The weather was dreadful again first thing but as soon as we headed for Leeds, the sun came out. It was lovely to spend time with Matt and really hard saying goodbye. It doesn't seem to get any easier with time.
In Leeds, we got the Park and Ride into the city, which was free and really easy to find as it was our first trip there. I wanted to visit the Corn Exchange and I was not disappointed. What a beautiful building! Chris enjoyed the huge Sports Direct and got some new cycling gear (or should I say apparel Chris?!!). We also managed to find some of the Victorian arcades that were impressive and then we found John Lewis :-D. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to explore it much but we had a bowl of soup and a croissant and I bought my friend a seagull Christmas decoration to remind her of our trip to Llandudno this year!
The journey home was horrible with nonstop rain and high winds but we had a really enjoyable weekend.
