The End is Also the Beginning

Sunny and mild all day. Hubby was adventurous today. The surgi-center put a waterproof coating over his entire leg so he tried taking a shower, using a plastic shower chair of course. We had welcomed company all day. Our friend Mickey brought us both Holy Communion and visited awhile which was thoughtful. My sister shared a delish chicken tortellini soup she made and our BIL replaced the toilet flapper that was leaking. He took care of our trash that was too much for me. Our youngest daughter and her girls stopped by for a visit and picked up their Halloween candy and our SIL’s birthday gift. I made a few trips around the property and decided to share a glimpse our dogwood that is dressed in its autumn splendor. Even as the leaves fade and fall ending this year’s life cycle, new buds appear, promising the beginning of next year’s growth. Hubby was quite uncomfortable after all his activity so it was nap time for everyone. I do not anticipate many trick or treaters as folks prefer the larger neighborhoods. Have three of my grands’ fav candy ready and waiting just in case. They will take care of all leftovers in the coming months. Thanks for the visit. Let’s hope it will be a safe Halloween for everyone. "Listen! The wind is rising, and the air is wild with leaves, we have had our summer evenings, now for October eves." - Humbert Wolfe
