Waltzers

Joe's footie game was cancelled due to a flooded pitch. I was secretly relieved...I didn't fancy standing on the sidelines in torrential rain.

The weather calmed so we went for a walk in the woods before the Halloween activities started. First pumpkin carving. Joe did most of it and enjoyed making a mess.

Joe was trick or treating with friends and I took Ava and friends to Hallowscream; a local scare-fest comprising haunted houses and fairground rides. 7 of her friends were due to go and I was the designated adult. One had a panic attack while queueing to get in. Two others freaked out as we got in and so all three went home. I was surprised at how anxious 14 year old girls were about actors dressed up as zombies etc, but they were clearly very distressed. I'm not sure why they decided to go in the first place...especially at £30 a ticket!

It was great fun and the haunted houses were very scary...in a 'what's around this corner' kind of way.
