Bannockburn Sluicings

Today the eleven walkers drove to Bannockburn and walked up the trail to Stewart Town,  Here the group is setting out through the flowering Wild Thyme.  It was a lot of up hill to start with, then a lot of down hill to get back to the cars.  We had our lunch at the old hotel at Stewart Town.  Only 8,000 steps, so I finished my day with a walk along the windy lake front.  My watch says 47 floors!

The extras are:  Lots of Californian Poppies in the tailings.  (2)  Near the top of the track  (3)  On the way down  (4)  Wild flowers.

We had a welcome cuppa at a local cafe before heading for home.  Another great walk in the fresh air, with good friends.
