Walkies

Had a quiet day to myself today. My brother's back has improved after a visit to a local osteopath so he went back to work in London and my sister had to go over to her studio.
I got out before 7.30 am for one of my regular early morning runs but thought I would do it in the opposite direction to the way I normally do it. Not my best idea. I soon realised there was a reason why I don't do it this way round - the majority of it is uphill!
When I got back I rewarded myself with a cold can of Red Bull and watched Match Of The Day 2 on iPlayer. The main match was Spurs v Man Utd or as one Sunday newspaper had called it yesterday "El Sackico". The press seem to delight in who will be the next manager to face the sack - Ole Gunnar Solskjaer or Nuno Espirito Santo.
Man Utd's performance was much improved from last week when we (Liverpool) stuffed them 5 - 0 at Old Trafford but Spurs were awful. Listless, devoid of ideas and way off the pace. Harry Kane looked like a shell of the player that he has been over the last few years. Man Utd were well worth the 3 - 0 win but I'm not sure how many times Solskjaer can continue, as Oliver Holt in The Mail On Sunday sports pages put it, to "flirt with damnation and then rush into the arms of salvation".
I still managed to fit in another set of exercise in our gym (well it's actually our garage, which has no heating - so quite character building at this time of year!), a book reading session ("Son of a Silverback" - a memoir by the comedian Russell Kane about growing up in the shadow of his alpha male dad - hilarious and sometimes heartbreaking) and some dinner prep for tonight.
Today's shot is of a combination of a tin which contained "all butter Highland mini scottie dog shaped shortbread biscuits" (long since eaten) and a Sony Walkman that my sister used as a prop in one of her theatrical productions. No particular reason for this image other than it made me smile!
