St Lawrence

I have posted St Lawrence West Wycombe before.  But it is now under threat.  West Wycombe has two Church of England churches, St Paul in the centre of the village and St Lawrence on the hill outside the village.  West Wycombe is only a small village and the PCC have decided that they can't afford two churches, their annual income is £18,000 and their annual expenditure £26,000.  On top of this St Lawrence has just been found to need £1.3m repairs.  There are grants available for work like this on a Grade I listed building, but the PCC hasn't got the resources to find and manage them.  They are in the middle of a public consultation about what should happen to the church.
