Unexpected lunch
Callum off today, and although we didn’t have anything planned, I casually asked if we might find time to pop out for lunch. So not actually where we had intended to go but ended up at The Flying Horse in Clophill. About 20 minutes from here.
Almost at the end of the brick wall surrounding the car park of the pub is this rather innocent and probably overlooked brick built little hut almost.
It is one of just a few Bedfordshire "lock-ups" remaining which were often in villages across the country, used by rural communities to temporarily detain people and animals for various reasons. A wider view in extras, but I liked the door and sign sufficiently to make mono.
