Sheringham Beach

It was a glorious sunny morning so I went for a walk along the prom at Sheringham and went down onto the beach. I do like this time of the year when the towns are just populated with locals again, despite it being on the cold side. When I got home I just managed to clean the windows out the back before the rain came. Then I sat down to watch IT Chapter Two.

I placed an order with M&S this morning, not done that for a while. There was no indication of when the order would be delivered before placing the order, so Sod's Law it was Saturday when I'm out. I eventually found a phone no. but the delivery date couldn't be changed - they would try 3 times to deliver it. This afternoon I got a text asking me to book my DPD delivery slot for tomorrow for the parcel, but the link didn't work properly. After a lot of grief and a phone call I eventually got a delivery slot, then DPD would try to deliver it, or leave it with a neighbour, or leave it at a collection point (nearest looks to be 15 miles away). M&S really must do better in the 21st Century.

Day 595 / Day 106 of Step 4 of Roadmap Easing (for my record only)
An example of how differently coronavirus is seen globally: as a result of one person testing positive that visited Disneyland Shanghai on Saturday, the park closed on Sunday and police and health workers in hazmat suits tested tens of thousands of visitors who could only leave if they had a negative test which they all did. They must also get tested again. NHS England's national medical director has warned of an 'extremely tough winter like no other' and has urged the public to use NHS 111 before going to A&E for urgent but non-life-threatening issues. Booster jabs are now available at walk in sites in England providing over 6 months has passed since your second jab.
