The Woodland Garden (Monday 1st November 2021)

It's all about the garden acers with me at the moment. This third acer has been a lovely racing green since Spring but when I checked it in the patio the other day I discovered it had turned into this intense colour.

Marty Balin wrote this beautiful ballad in one sitting and called everybody up to record it straight away, including friend of the band from the Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia, on this day 55 years ago. It appeared on their second album and first with Grace Slick, Surrealistic Pillow.
