Posing under the leaves

This morning we went to Chirk Castle woodlands in the rain. My granddaughter doesn't return to school until tomorrow so they were able to have an extra night.

We had a wet visit to the playground then went for a walk in the woods where we looked for and counted the nest boxes.  The colours of the trees and bracken were looking beautiful and after a while the rain stopped.

We went back to my house for a meal before they set off for home.  It was great to see them and was a lovely weekend.
