Broom Parish Church

I was over in Newton Mearns today, seeing (with my brother), Rev. Jim, who is officiating at our mum’s funeral next week. Jim is such a nice man and will celebrate our mums life in a suitable fashion.

The last time I was in this church would be when I was in primary school and was asked to deliver an Easter reading … 45 years ago! 

Broom Parish church was built in 1958 and my mum was a member of the congregation for 61 years. My grandmother attended the previous ‘temporary’ church that was in this site before the current one was built. 

Back home in the east after a busy and emotional day.
